The Fine Arts Foundation of the Westby Area (FAFWA) has been raising funds to support its mission to furthering fine arts in the Westby area since its inception in 2001. A substantial community of support, comprised largely of alumni and Westby area residents, has developed over the past few years which prompted the FAFWA to engage in furthering the dream to build a Performing Arts Center (PAC). A feasibility study was conducted during 2005, the FAFWA Board of Directors struck an agreement with the School Board of the Westby Area Schools regarding the site of the proposed PAC in 2006, and the FAFWA Board formed a Capital Campaign Committee in 2007 to proceed with raising funds for the building and a sustaining endowment. The total estimated cost for the project is $4 million. Partnership with the school reduces the amount that needs to be fund-raised. The first leadership gifts were given in 2007 (link to news articles).

Captial Campaign

We have launched a Capital Campaign to raise approximately $3 million to build a 550 seat auditorium at the Westby High School. It is fortunate that the site at the school provides for approximately $1 million in elements which include: land, parking, utility hookups, septic, bathrooms and lobby.

Give to the Capital Campaign Please consider giving gifts of cash, appreciated stock, or multi-year pledges. Naming opportunities are available (link). Gifts may be made In Memory or In Honor of someone. There also may be opportunities to give In-kind gifts.

If you or your family would like to make a gift on-line, please click above or you may contact one of the Capital Campaign co-chairs if you would like to have a personal meeting or receive the information packet: Curt Moe (608-634-3794) or Adrian Hendrickson (608-634-2152)

Endowment

The Fine Arts Foundation of the Westby area will create an endowment to ensure the maintenance, upkeep and administration of the Performing Arts Center. These funds grow through interest earnings and additional gifts to the principal.

Planned Gifts

Individuals and families can make a difference by planning for the Fine Arts Foundation's future today when you do estate planning. (Planned gift opportunities are diverse and meet a wide variety of personal financial situations.)

A project of this magnitude will take many volunteer leaders and hours of service to accomplish. Please consider these opportunities to play a role in building this dream: (contact FAFWA via info@fafwa.org)
