The Westby Area Fine Arts Foundation is an arts organization dedicated to artistic excellence, providing multicultural programming with a distinctive, learning-centered focus for the diverse surrounding communities.

As an integral component of the Westby Area School network, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) will have a strong educational focus. It will serve as a resource to our schools and our community to cultivate in our young people an interest in the arts.

To achieve its mission and purpose, the Foundation focuses on the following goals and objectives:

• Work with and develop artists of quality, vision, and integrity.
• Present productions and artists of quality with vision and integrity.
• Provide a quality performance space that does not put limits on the creative process.
• Present workshops where people can learn from masters.
• Maintain and promote quality throughout all aspects of presentation.

• Develop programming that explores different cultures, genres, and time periods in order to engage a varied audience.

• Provide experiences that challenge individuals to grow both personally and professionally.
• Offer Westby Area Schools an outstanding venue for school performances.
• Present workshops, clinics, and master classes where people can learn.
• Encourage the development of new works and compositions.
• Create a home for the creative spirit.

• Promote audience growth and development.
• Create and maintain an active presence in the immediate and surrounding communities.
• Develop relationships with leaders of the surrounding communities.
• Provide opportunities that attract performers and audiences to the PAC.
• Create a Friends of the PAC organization to provide feedback and to take the message to the street.

• Provide for long-term growth and stability by building relationships and support.
• Raise the needed capital to build a Performing Arts Center.
• Create an endowment to sustain the Center's operating infrastructure.
• Create an endowment to sustain the presentation of artists and their works.
• Create an endowment to provide scholarships to area performing arts students.

• The arts industry provides an 8:1 return on investment in the form of federal, state and local tax revenues.
• The arts industry is a cornerstone of tourism, economic development, and the revitalization of many downtowns.
• Support for the arts generates tax revenues, jobs, and creative energies that underlie much of what makes America so extraordinary.
